2021 Health & Safety Updates

We are booking for the 2021 season!
There’s no better place to be wild and free like in Alaska.

What We’re Doing Now: Health & Safety

Above & Beyond Alaska is committed to setting the standard for safety in outdoor adventure. We have always been about small group adventures! For clients wishing for an exclusive, one-of-kind experience, check out our Private Wilderness Trips. As we embark on our 19th season guiding on ocean and ice, and facilitating sea kayak rentals, we want you to know what we’re doing to maintain a healthy workplace and tour experience.

In accordance with our COVID-19 mitigation policy, all 2021 guided trips will meet at our main office location at their scheduled tour start time for outfitting and transportation to/from tour site. Please contact our office for meeting location details, parking, and information

Tour Experience – The health of our staff and guests are our top priority. In order to maintain a safe and quality tour experience, we request all staff and guests adhere to our health and safety protocols while on a trip with us. These include mask wearing while indoors, social distancing, and day-of wellness checks. These protocols are subject to change, as the COVID-19 situation evolves.

Team Members – Our crew cares about you! We’ll conduct employee wellness checks daily – any team member experiencing symptoms will be sent home until they are officially cleared.

Facilities and Vehicles – We pride ourselves in maintaining a spotless outfitting warehouse, restrooms, office, and retail store. All surfaces, handles, tables, chairs, etc. are thoroughly sanitized every morning and after every group passes through. Vehicles are cleaned daily and sanitized after each group.

Equipment – All guided trip and rental equipment is thoroughly inspected, washed, and disinfected immediately after each use. From helmets to boots, rain jackets to canoe paddles, every client is outfitted with clean, high quality equipment for their adventure.

Mask Policy – All clients and team members are required to wear a cloth face covering or mask inside our facilities and vehicles. Masks are not required when we are outside, however, there will be times throughout your tour when we may ask you to put your mask on for a short time.
