What We’re Doing: Health & Safety
Above & Beyond Alaska is committed to setting the standard for safety in outdoor adventure. We have always been about small group adventures! For clients wishing for an exclusive, one-of-kind experience, check out our Private Wilderness Trips. As we embark on our 20th season guiding on ocean and ice, and facilitating sea kayak rentals, we want you to know what we’re doing to maintain a healthy workplace and tour experience.
Tour Experience – The health of our staff and guests are our top priority. In order to maintain a safe and quality tour experience, we request all staff and guests adhere to our current health and safety protocols while on a trip with us.
Team Members – Our crew cares about you! We’ll conduct employee wellness checks – any team member experiencing symptoms will be sent home until they are tested for COVID and officially cleared.
Facilities and Vehicles – We pride ourselves in maintaining a spotless outfitting warehouse, restrooms, office, and retail store. Vehicles are cleaned daily.
Equipment – Our equipment and gear is thoroughly inspected and cleaned after each use. Every client is outfitted with clean, high quality equipment for their adventure.
Mask Policy – As of May 1, 2022, the city of Juneau is considered low risk and a level 1, which means face coverings and masks are optional. Masks are not currently required to be used on our trips, but we do encourage our guests and staff to wear them while in indoor locations. This policy is subject to change anytime if the local ordinance changes and risk levels increase.
These protocols are subject to change, as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
